For over a decade and a half, Couples Yellow Day—CYD has stood as a vibrant celebration and reaffirmation of the values that hold families together. As a flagship event under the Daughter’s Family Plus Initiative (DAFPi), CYD embodies our vision of building a better Nigerian society by molding one family at a time through the promotion of sound family values. At DAFPi, we harness the power of media and entertainment to shape hearts and homes positively. CYD brings this mission to life through a dynamic, family-focused live program that creates unforgettable memories and inspires lasting change.
WALK FOR FAMILIES (IN CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR FAMILIES)
Every year, DAFPi organizes a Family Walk to celebrate the International Day of Families. This event is designed to: Raise awareness about the importance of family unity and encourage widespread celebration of the day. Promote stronger family bonds by bringing family members together in a joyful, shared activity. Through this walk, we foster community spirit, encourage positive family values, and create memorable experiences that strengthen relationships. It’s one of the many ways we use media, events, and entertainment to uplift families and promote unity.
MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
We believe wisdom should be shared. Our Mentorship Program connects experienced couples who have successfully built lasting marriages with younger or newly married couples seeking guidance, encouragement, and support. Through intentional mentoring relationships, we create a safe space for honest conversations about marriage, parenting, and building a family rooted in mutual respect and love. Program Features: One-on-one or small group mentoring sessions Monthly check-ins, discussions, and workshops Real stories, practical advice, and moral guidance A focus on trust, confidentiality, and mutual learning “Strong families are built when experience meets openness and wisdom is passed from one generation to the next.”
Media & Entertainment Outreach
We use the power of media and entertainment to promote positive family values and engage audiences in ways that are both impactful and relatable. Our content and campaigns are designed to spark conversation, encourage connection, and celebrate strong family life. Our Outreach Includes: Radio talk shows, Radio Drama and segments on marriage, parenting, and values Short-form digital videos and social media campaigns Family-centered stage dramas, music, and live performances TV and online programs promoting respectful, healthy relationships “We reach hearts and homes through the screens, stages, and soundwaves
